Music at First Congregational United Church of ChristJunior Choir and Tintinnabulators—If you are in first through sixth grades and love to sing, you should join Junior Choir. We have a great time learning music that praises God. Junior Choir will be presenting another fabulous musical in the spring giving you an opportunity to show off your acting, singing and dancing abilities. Junior Choir meets on Sundays, 10:15—11:00 a.m. Now, if you're not a singer, but love to play instruments, you should join the Tintinnabulators (Tins) handbell ensemble. Our Tins group starts with 4th graders and older. We meet on Sundays, 11:00—11:30 a.m. Rehearsals will begin Sunday, September 20 under the direction of Maria Carini, Assistant Director of Music (mcarin1m@aol.com or at 708-655-5179). Cindi Duncan serves as the volunteer accompanist for Junior Choir. Chancel Choir—Chancel Choir is open to high school students and all adults. Chancel Choir begins rehearsals on Thursday, September 10 from 7:30—9:15 p.m. . This choir sings an average of three Sundays a month at the 9:00 a.m. service and at other special services. Guided Path and Back-Up Vocalists—Please contact Jim Molina, Sunday Celebration Coordinator at 630-865-6681 or camayal1@aol.com if you are interested in learning about opportunities. Harps Angelica—Harps Angelica is a harp ministry for beginning/intermediate players. FCC owns one harp that is currently not in use. If you are interested in learning more about this ministry, contact the Church Office. We would love to have others interested become part of the group! Cherub Choir- Our youngest singers have the opportunity to learn and present songs of the church in December and May under the volunteer leadership of Peggy Gutzke (630-971-1382) and rehearses seasonally. Instrumentalists and Vocalists — Contact the Church Office if you would like to play an instrument or sing as an expression of your faith. Our Cherub Choir performing on Mothers Day 2010.
